Program Overview
This highly-interactive workshop will enable participants to understand foundational project management techniques and will allow the attendees to apply the tools and templates that will be introduced in this learning event. Case studies, exercises and discussions will be industry-based, therefore, professionals who work in the public sectors such as municipalities and townships, and the private sectors such as engineering, and other organizations which support infrastructure, technology and natural resources, will be able to immediately use the content that will be introduced in this workshop. Participants in this course will also have the opportunity to customize their templates and tools and use these in their jobs right away.

Your Instructor
Darya Duma, P.Eng, PMP
As a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and a Project Management Professional (PMP), Darya has been practicing Project Management for over 20 years - first managing industrial elevator projects with a mechanical contractor, then standards development projects with CSA International, and finally project process improvements as a consultant. She has worked extensively with international clients in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
Darya currently holds the vice-chair position on the Canadian Mirror Committee to ISO/TC 258 and was the past chair of the Technical Development Group for ISO/TC 258, developing standards for projects, portfolio and program management.
Darya has volunteered for many committees with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Past certifications include: PRINCE2® Practitioner, AACE’s Project Scheduling Professional, Microsoft Certified Professional, and ISO 9000 Internal Auditor.
She has also completed various credentials in course design and adult education.
